Argyll Self Catering Cottage Accommodation Introduction

The Coach House & Pottery are newly refurbished comfortable self catering properties, which would suit either couples, family’s or groups of friends looking for a self catering holiday on the West coast of Scotland.

Helen & Stephen Ede look forward to welcoming you to Argyll & Bute in order for you explore this wonderful part of Scotland whilst staying at your home away from home.

Carloch Holidays is situated in Garelochhead which is an attractive village on the north banks of Gare Loch, one of the sealochs of Argyll and Bute.

Developed in the 1820s alongside the advent of steamer cruises, this quaint resort village in Argyll and Bute is known for its watersports and has great local walks and amenities. From Garelochhead the scenery changes dramatically to the north, as the hills to the north dominate the skyline.

The village sits at the head of the Roseneath Peninsula, commonly known as ‘The Green Isle’, which sits between Gare Loch and Loch Long and boasts picturesque villages such as Cove, Clynder, Rosneath and Kilcreggan.

When driving north, you can follow the signposted Clyde Sea Lochs trail to take in Gare Loch as well as the Firth of Clyde and Loch Long before rejoining the route north at Arrochar and Tarbet.

An amazing place to stay and to use as a base for exploring. Helen made both us and our dogs feel so at home. The coach house is beautifully kitted out and has the most comfortable bed ever!

It was a pleasure to meet you all, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Sorry the fish weren’t biting, hopefully next time you will have more luck. Hope to see you again soon.
Ami & Ian, Stirling
Helen and Steven made us feel really welcome letting us have the run of their gardens (young son and small ‘well behaved’ dog). Helen went the extra mile by packaging and sending home my 12kg Kettle Bell (340 miles), which I left behind.

Stayed there with our daughter for 2 nights last week.Property is in a quiet lovely location beside Loch Gare . Interior is spotless and owner could not be more helpful. Everything provided including some nice fresh eggs and a wee dram!. Beautiful garden with old trees and a stream running through the bottom of the garden. Great location for touring loch lomond and highly recommended

We booked the coach house for our wedding and were not disappointed when we arrived. Our 2 weeks flew by and we did not want to go home! Helen could not of done enough for us, helping with suppliers and even supplying a champagne bucket and flutes for the morning of the wedding! We cannot thank you enough!
Tracey G, London
Very friendly hosts and such lovely, very clean accommodation in surrounding gardens that match if not exceed standards of botanical gardens.

Very convenient for access to Glasgow in one direction and dramatic countryside, lochs and mountains in the direction of Oban, Dunoon and the Kintyre peninsula.

A most relaxing week!

Had a fantastic stay in the pottery, its quirky, cozy and fully compact with all the mod cons you could want and more, the garden is majestic and was lovely to sit and chill in the sun, our 2 little dogs loved it to as it was so dog friendly and secure for them to run around in, both Helen and Stephen made us feel so welcome, it was a nice touch having fresh eggs from their chickens and being left a wee dram, so looking forward to our next visit in this wee gem of a place
